Evansville Police mourn the loss of a beloved companion.  The police K-9 Taz died this week.  Taz was the first dog to be assigned to the SWAT team, but more importantly, he was an ambassador for the department.  He was assigned to his partner Sgt. Brent Hoover.  The department says he was responsible for countless felony and drug arrests.  He was buried Saturday among his fellow police K-9s at the police cemetery.
