First Member Of "American Idols" Top 12 Eliminated
An alleged former male stripper has the dubious distinction of being the first one out of the "American Idol" top 12.
On last nights installment of the Fox reality competition, David Hernandez and Kristy Lee Cook were named as the bottom two.
Then, host Ryan Seacrest made the announcement that sent Hernandez home.
Hernandez was the focus of media reports earlier this month that he previous worked as a stripper in a Phoenix-area gay club.
The 24-year-old hails from Glendale, Arizona -- also the hometown of last years winner, Jordin Sparks.
Next week, the top eleven will once again perform songs from the Lennon-McCartney songbook.
Seacrest said thats due to all of the calls and e-mails the show received from viewers who loved Tuesday nights episode.
"American Idols" next performance show airs next Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Fox.
