WKU Changes Weapon Policy

Western Kentucky University's Board of Regents has approved a change to the campus weapons policy to allow weapons in cars.
The change follows a state Supreme Court ruling. The university did not previously allow any weapons or firearms anywhere on its property, however, the Kentucky Supreme Court ruled in April that students and staff at Kentucky universities may keep guns and other deadly weapons in a car. The schools will be allowed to continue to regulate weapons elsewhere on campus.
