A fun night out in the name of fashion turned into much more for an Evansville non-profit.

Vanderburgh County CASA was the sole beneficiary of Shoe Carnival's Walk the Runway Friday night.  Around 50 models, including Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and his wife, strutted their stuff down the runway at the Casino Aztar conference center.

The event raised more than $30,000 and sparked a new wave of interest in the Court Appointed Special Advocate Program.

Vanderburgh County CASA is hosting an informational meeting at the downtown office (728 Court Street) Monday night from 5:00- 6:00pm. The meeting is free and open to the public.

If you can't make the meeting, watch our interview with CASA's Executive Director to learn more.
