Residents of one Western Kentucky town will hit the polls tomorrow to decide whether alcohol should be sold in the city. Sturgis is the only city in Union County that forbids the sale of alcohol.

While many people believe alcohol sales would go against their religious values, others say they could create an economic boost for the town. One business owner believes alcohol sales could draw more investors and businesses to sturgis.

"If we can get more restaurants and get the hotels," said Custom Biker Wear owner Carlene Thomas, "it's going to change our town. If you look at Madisonville and lots of the other towns that have went wet, and look at the growth they had since they went wet. And that's not a guarantee, and I know that. But it gives us a chance."

The polls will be open tomorrow from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
