An ironic turn of events on Evansville's west side as an old building housing fire and safety equipment goes up in smoke, and Evansville investigators say it's arson.  They say the fire flared up around 3 a.m. at the old M&S Fire and Safety equipment building in the 600 block of East Franklin Street.  The district chief says since he used to work in the building, he was able to direct crews through the structure quickly and after about 20 minutes the fire was out.  The building had only moderate damage to the warehouse area on the second floor.  Officials say no one was injured.  This is only three blocks away from the former Miller and Miller Funeral Home, destroyed by arson back in June.  Investigators cannot confirm any connection between the fires.
