An Evansville school is celebrating a gold medal year. They celebrated with a flash mob. This afternoon, teachers at Cedar Hall Community School surprised students with a flash mob performance. Cedar hall was one of the schools in the EVSC that earned double digit gains in its ISTEP scores last Spring.

"They push us hard to be at school everyday," said Cedar Hall student Carli Cates, "and to get our homework done. It feels really good to be one of the highest istep scores."

"We are so proud of our students." said Cedar Hall teacher BruceAnn King. "They have worked extremely hard, and I think it took a few years just to see the pay off. But I don't think we ever gave up. The students never gave up, and I think working hard and just giving it all they got, they finally are being recognized for all the hard work."

School officials says they give a lot of credit to the parents who make sure their kids come to school ready.
