Indianas Governor Mitch Daniels was in Evansville Thursday.
He met with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
On his way to the area, he took advantage of his helicopter ride to see the widespread flooding for himself.
The Governor praised first responders for excellent professionalism and Hoosiers for stepping up to help their fellow Hoosiers in need.
He was asked about seeking federal disaster assistance.
Daniels had hoped to visit other areas like Posey County before he left the Tri-state.
