The EPD Swat Team was used Friday evening to secure a home at 726 Bayard Park prior to detectives serving a search warrant.
The warrant was part of the on-going investigation into the shots fired and graffiti runs on Tuesday night.
Police linked suspected gang member 24 year old James Williams to the graffiti on the EPD's West Sector Office earlier this week.
The homeowner, Mandy tells Eyewitness News Friday night that she's not involved in gangs and only gave James Williams permission to use her address to get an id.
Eyewitness News Tabnie Dozier will have more of the exclusive interview with Mandy Saturday on Eyewitness News at 6.

I generally stand behind LEOs, but this is now the second raid on an innocent residence this year under Chief Bollin's watch. I understand why SWAT given the nature of the suspect, but that does not mean SWAT has to knock the door in possibly based just on nothing but an address of an ID card. I myself am guilty of not promptly updating my address on my driver's license after moving, and I am sure I am not the only one. Perhaps it's time to put the guns down and do some surveillance.

If it was anything but the police substation, nothing would have ever been done

The city should be responsible for the damage. What if an informant just wanted to get even with someone, let the police raid the persons home.
