Nobody wants to get stuck in the cold when winter temperatures arrive.  And the season will be here sooner than you think.

The annual Coat-a-Kid campaign to keep Tri-State kids warm this winter kicked off Wednesday.

The charitable effort brought in a record number of coats last year, and this year, they're asking for more infant and youth size coats after running out of the small coats last year.

Coats can be donated at any Don's Claytons dry cleaning stores in Evansville and Newburgh until the end of the year.

The program started in 1986, and has given away more than 135-thousand coats to kids in need.
