An outside attorney is trying to overturn the decision in the Drew Peterson murder trial.
The motion claims the former police officer's conviction of murdering his third wife should be changed because of mistakes made by his attorneys during the trial.
Peterson's actual attorney says this outside attorney has no authority to file the motion.
Peterson is scheduled to be sentenced next month after being convicted in September of murdering Kathleen Savio.
