Nearly 100 Animals Removed from Daviess County Home

The Daviess County, Kentucky, Animal control is searching for homes for almost 100 animals. The animals include 40 rats and mice, 30 birds, 20 dogs, and a few snakes from one home in Daviess County. It appears a mother and son were breeding the animals and trying to sell them. All animals have been removed from the home except the birds, which they plan on going to court over.
"The living conditions for the animals were deplorable enough," said Animal Control Director Ashley Clark, "that we felt that we needed to remove the animals based on the health of the animals and the living conditions."
This isn't the first time Animal Control has been called to the home. They say several people have called to complain about the animal's living conditions. If you're interested in adopting any of the animals, you can contact the shelter at 270-685-8275.
