Updated: October 22, 2012
The man who pleaded guilty to two counts of murder following a deadly Valentine's Day wreck in Henderson County is scheduled to be sentenced today.

Albert Williams pleaded guilty to the deaths of Henderson Firefighter, Jonathan Coomes, and a passenger in Williams' vehicle, Michael Pritchett.  He also pleaded guilty to a DUI charge.

The accident happened on US 60 when Williams crossed into the path of Coomes.  Coomes tried to avoid the collision, but was unable to get out of the way of Williams' truck.  Coomes was pronounced dead at the scene.  Pritchett died more than two months later, on April 22, from injuries he suffered in the collision.

Williams could receive 25 years on each charge of murder and 365 days for the DUI offense.
