IL Crime Victims Have New Offender Notification Option

The Illinois automated system for notifying crime victims about the status of offenders has added text messaging as an option.
The Attorney General's office says the automated victim notification system provides updates about court appearances, custody status, and other information about offenders in 101 Illinois counties.
Messages can also come through phone calls or by email.
