It's business as usual at Hopkins County schools today, however, students and parents will likely see increased security measures in place.

According to the Hopkins County School System, a potential threat towards Hopkins County Central High School was reported on Wednesday night.  The administration says police were notified immediately, and an investigation was started.

Hopkins County officials say once the threat was posted to social media sites, additional rumors began to spread.  As a result, all Hopkins County schools will see an increased police presence on Thursday.

According to the school system, "We are proceeding with business as usual at the schools.  One of our top priorities is to keep students safe".
