Jasper Looking at Turning Golf Course Into Park

The city of Jasper is talking about building a large central park.
Mayor Terry Seitz says the Jasper Country Club is for sale, and is scheduled to close at the end of the year.
He says the city is not interested in purchasing the clubhouse building, but rather the golf course. He says they are talking about the possibility of building a park on the land, which is about 63-acres.
The Redevelopment Commission will meet November 7th to discuss where to go from here.
