As Hurricane Sandy barrels toward the eastern seaboard, some Tri-State volunteers are stocking up...and heading into the storm to help.
Two pairs of Red Cross volunteers loaded up the truck with emergency supplies Saturday morning before shipping off to Pennsylvania.
The volunteers plan to give out hot food, water, and gatorade.
It's the pair's second time assisting in a disaster since hurricane isaac.
"It does your heart good to see that many people helping out every human, human beings and other americans. It's good for all of us. It's very heartwarming," says volunteer Philip Peckinpaugh.
Peckinpaugh says they could be in the storm zone anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks.
