Indiana State Officials Looking to Finalize Stage Regulations

Indiana lawmakers are finalizing their proposal to prevent a repeat of last year's deadly Indiana State Fair stage collapse. A legislative committee met today firm up the recommendations. The committee says it doesn't want to overburden smaller events with regulations more suited to large events like the Superbowl. Investigators found the rigging that collapsed and caused several deaths didn't meet industry safety standards, and that fair officials lacked a fully developed emergency plan.
