Authorities are urging parents to check their state's online offender registry before sending the kids out on this Halloween.
Paroled sex offenders in Indiana are not allowed to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. In fact, those in Vanderburgh County must put a sign on their door tonight, have their lights off, and not have any Halloween decorations.
Many in the state also have to stick to a special curfew. Extra patrol cars will be keeping an eye out, too.
