McGary Students Engage in Physics with Built Catapults

Some Evansville students were launched into the wonders of science today. 8th graders at McGary Middle School built catapults in the Gateway to Engineering class. It was to help them learn about the use of simple machines and the relationships between speed, force, and distance. Students built the catapults by choosing their own constraints in order to achieve the maximum distance possible.
