A social studies lesson has left students wanting to help save lives. Plaza Park International Prep Academy kids want to help provide clean water to those who may not have access to it.
Today the organization, New Life International, showed them how easy it can be. They can sponsor one of thier water purification systems, and then it will be sent to a village in need of clean water.
"Our students are great students," said Plaza Park Teacher Amanda Bussey. "They love to make impacts of people lives, so this will be a great way for them to step up and do something."
The water pump they were shown today costs $1,000. They plan to raise money until the end of the school year.
