A building on Evansville's north side is now rubble on the ground. Crews began tearing down the Old Paddock Tavern on First Ave. around 8 a.m. Mayor Lloyd Winnecke kicked off the project.
Bootz Manufacturing recently purchased the building that started as a saloon, but it has also been a liquor store, a restaurant, and a pet grooming facility. Crews had to shut down a lane of First Ave., causing a few problems for drivers. Our crew saw one accident happen while the construction was going on.
