Evansville Police Receive New Patrol Cars

A whole new look of Evansville Police Department patrol cars will hit city streets. The department unveiled one of their new cars today: a 2013 Dodge Charger.

The 300 horsepower patrol car features a new V shape lightbar allowing you to see emergency lights from all directions. There's also new warning strobes, which allow people to see cars as they go through intersections. EPD is also excited to show off their new logo, which was designed by an Evansville graphics designer.

There's also a new tool called the rumbler. It emits a low frequency noise that alerts drivers to a patrol car, even if they cannot hear the sirens.
