What's All the Secession Talk About?

Chances are you've heard the word secession being used quite a bit recently. If not, then all you need to do is check out the White House website. There are currently no less than 20 petitions on the site, asking the Federal Government to allow states, including Indiana, to secede from the U.S. and form their own government.
The move reportedly comes after President Obama's re-election. Indiana is not the only state where a petition to secede has been filed. The "We the People" group cites 21 other states also have petitions to do the same, including Kentucky. Indiana's petition was created on the White House website November 10. At last check, there were just over 15,000 signatures. If the petition gets 25,000 signatures by December 10, it will be put into a queue to be reviewed by the White House. That's according to the government website.
What do you think about all of this? Do you think it's just talk, or
do you think states have a legitimate argument for leaving the Union?
