Komen for the Cure Evansville raffle to win a 2012 Chrysler 200 is a big success. The agency raises enough money to provide 2,000 mammograms or provide treatment for three local cancer patients.
The vehicle was donated by Audubon Chrysler in Henderson, and is valued at more than $25,000. The raffle is just one of many events the Tri-State Komen affiliate uses to raise money to help local families impacted by breast cancer.
"Breast cancer is not just a women's disease," said Sheila Seiler of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. "It affects men and women both. It doesn't matter how old you are. It doesn't care what color you are. It affects everybody, and it affects the whole family as well. So, it's important you keep it in mind, and that you still support our organization, so we can provide those services for the people who need it."
The winner of the Chrysler 200 was Pam Murray of Evansville.
