Durbin Retains Title of Assistant Majority Leader in Senate

U.S. Senator, Dick Durbin, of Illinois, will retain his position as the Assistant Majority Leader in the U.S. Senate.
Durbin's office says he was unanimously re-elected as the second-highest ranking Democrat in the senate.
This is Durbin's fourth term as Assistant Majority Leader. The job includes being the lead person in day-to-day action on the Senate floor. The post is also responsible for counting votes and monitoring legislation on the floor.
