This weekend will be full of sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols in parts of southwestern Indiana. This is the annual Safe Family Travel Campaign for the Thanksgiving Holiday involving 250 law enforcement agencies across the state. One checkpoint will be somewhere in Daviess County tonight. The campaign continues until Sunday, December 2. Last year, alcohol impaired driving was linked to 140 deaths and more than 2,000 injuries just in Indiana. Law enforcement will also look for those speeding, not wearing a seat belt, and not safely buckling in children.
