Local law enforcement officials plan to crack down on drunk driving this week. Vanderburgh County Sheriff Deputies, the Evansville Police Department, and the Indiana State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Wednesday from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. The location for this checkpoint was chosen based on areas with a high number of reported hit and run crashes. Officials hope this will improve road safety during the Thanksgiving holiday.
