Overnight Stabbing In Evansville

Police arrest a man after he allegedly stabbed another man in the neck behind an Evansville homeless shelter.

Gary Hill is facing battery with a deadly weapon charges after police say he stabbed Cedric Jeter behind the Ozanam Shelter on Reed Street. 

Police say when they arrived Jeter was bleeding from the neck, but was able to describe Hill and tell police where he lives.

Police found Hill at his home and arrested him.  Police say Hill has been arrested in the past on substance abuse charges.

Jeter was taken to Deconess Hospital for treatment, but the hospital is not releasing his condition.
