Movie Theaters Nationwide Begin To Serve Alcohol
About 400 theaters nationwide are now serving alcohol to moviegoers.
Thats according to the National Association of Theater Owners.
Spokesman Patrick Corcoran says the move is designed to capture the adult demographic who are beginning to return to theaters.
He says customers over 40 have more time to go the theater and are looking for a different experience at movies than teenagers or young adults.
Corcoran says alcohol is there to add an extra layer of enjoyment to moviegoers experience.
He adds that the theaters selling alcohol also sell food and people like to have wine or cocktails with their meal.
Prices of alcohol will be similar to those found in restaurants.
