Demolishing and preparing the site for a new park will cost the city about $200-thousand dollars less than originally expected.
The Evansville Board of Park Commissioners has unanimously approved a change order, reducing the original $958-thousand contract awarded to Klenck Company to $730-thousand.
City officials want the demolition of the 56-year-old stadium wrapped up by spring.
