A new brand and a new mission for Evansville's Central Library means new services for you. Today, library leaders held an open house revealing some of those new services.Officials there say the library is not just a place to get books anymore. It's more like a platform for ideas.
Central Library is now online, interactive, and available to the community 24 hours a day. You can download E-books or subscribe to EMagazine services free of charge for library members.
"We actually live our mission and our vision," said Public Library CEO Marcia Au, "which is to inspire individuals and create community, not just any community, but a vital community that we can all be proud to live in, work in, and serve."
Another new service at Central Library is a passport office where you can apply for or renew your passport.
