KY Senate to Vote on New Leader

Republican State Senators in Kentucky are expected to choose their chamber's next president.
GOP Floor Leader, Robert Stivers, from Manchester, is seeking the post, as is Independent Senator, Bob Leeper, of Paducah.
The election was triggered by this month's resignation of longtime Senate President David Williams. He chose to leave his Senate seat to accept a judicial appointment in southern Kentucky.
The vote will be taken during a closed caucus at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. The winner will be seated in January.
