An update to a story that infuriated many people around the Tri-State. The turkey stolen from the gravesite of a Chandler, Indiana, teenager has been returned.

The family of Blake Sales honors their beloved son by decorating his grave for the holidays. But when they put a decorative turkey out for Thanksgiving, it was stolen on Monday. This story has a happy ending, however.

Christopher McDaniel, Blake's stepfather, says he received a message around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Someone had found the wooden turkey and wanted to give it back to the sales family. McDaniel says he doesn't care about the who, what, or why the turkey was taken. The most important thing is it's back where it should be.

McDaniel says, immediately after our story aired Monday, it spread like wildfire over Facebook. McDaniel also wanted to express his sincerest thanks to the entire Tri-State for their support and help this week.
