Evansville Fire Team Places 3rd at Combat Challenge World Championships

Some Evansville firefighters are recognized for their fitness. Evansville Fire Department's Combat Challenge team was presented with certificates of recognition for an outstanding season.
This month, their male tandem team placed third at the World Challenge in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Team members completed several tasks like running up a five story tower carrying full gear.
"It's humbling," said Team Captain Joey Jones. "I mean it's good company, it's good competition and we're ranking right there with them."
EFD competed against teams from all over the world. They train year round.
