Attempted Murder Investigation in Hopkins County

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an attempted murder in Nortonville.
Deputies aren't releasing much information, but they do say that when they arrived at the scene on Monday, they found a woman who had been assaulted.
The woman is being treated for her injuries, and there is no word on a possible suspect.
