The cost for tax payers to defend Jeffrey Weisheit continues to climb. The Vanderburgh County Council approved another $100,000 for Weisheit's defense. That brings the pricetag for his trial up to $600,000.
Weisheit faces the death penalty in connection with the April 2010 deaths of his girlfriend's two children. Investigators say he lit their house on fire while the children were still inside. The trial is schedueld for June.
