The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department releases the 9-1-1 call that lead to Monday's shooting involving two deputies. Lindal Johnson was shot to death. Officials say the deputies opened fire after they tazed Johnson, and he continued to throw things at them including a hatchet. The initial 9-1-1 call came from someone who says he was dropping a friend off at a home, and Johnson confronted them in the driveway.
9-1-1 Call: "The guy gets out and it talking to him about his medicine, and the guy's acting weird saying all kinds of random stuff. And so, I freak out. And he's acting all angry, and I freak out. And I pull in the driveway, and I back out. I'm trying to leave, and this dude starts getting, like, I don't know if it's a golf club, and starts bashing my window, the back of my window, and there's glass everywhere."
Sheriff Eric Williams says the deputies acted properly in the incident.
