The Tri-State Food Bank is helping hundreds of families have a better holiday this year. People lined up on Michigan St. today for the annual Christmas Giveaway. Every year the food bank provides turkeys, hams, and even things like Christmas trees and presents to families who may not otherwise be able to afford it. Many people don't realize how many families struggle during the holidays. We spoke with one family who is very grateful to have this opportunity.

"Tri-State helped us out," said Phyllis and Dennis Smith. "One there's not no worry. I mean, we had worry about where we were gonna get our food from, where we were gonna get our tree from for the kids. It's a blessing that we got what we got."

If you've gotten an invitation from the food bank for this giveaway, it continues tomorrow until 2:30 p.m.
