Kentucky Health Officials Urging People to get Vaccinated for Flu Season

Health officials say the flu level in Kentucky is widespread across the state. They are recommending vaccinations for everyone except infants younger than 6 months old. The Department for Public Health said in a statement today that widespread flu activity means there are outbreaks in at least half of the regions in the state. The Health Commissioner says the agency is "strongly urging" anyone who hasn't gotten vaccinated to do so, especially if they are at risk for complications.
