Before you stuff that Christmas tree in the dumpster, you may want to consider turning it into something you can use again. Next Saturday is the Vanderburgh County Holiday Recycling Day. This is video from last year's event. Volunteers behind the Civic Center will take all your holiday leftovers like bags, greeting cards, or cardboard boxes. But they'll also be chopping up the Christmas trees and turning them into mulch, then giving it away free to anyone who wants it. Recycling Day is January 5, from 8 a.m. to noon.
