DNR Issues Ice Warning

Indiana's Department of Natural Resources is warning residents to be careful while on ice.
Conservation Officers recommend that people don't fish unless the ice is at least 4 inches thick. They also remind people that lakes, ponds, rivers and streams don't freeze at the same rates, even on the same body of water.
Flowing water, sandy or vegetated areas, and wind, can all make ice thinner.
