Fruity New Year's Celebrations Planned in Two Tri State Cities

A couple of interesting New Year's Eve celebrations will be taking place later tonight, both involving fruit.
The city of Vincennes will be dropping a watermelon while they count down to the new year. At the stroke of midnight, 13 knox county watermelons will drop to a "splatform" as fireworks light the sky there.
And Tell City will end its first ever New Year's Eve celebration with the dropping of an eight-foot diameter LED apple in City Hall Park.
