Prayer Vigil Welcomes in the New Year

Here's one way to ring in the New Year: hold a group prayer. Residents gathered in front of the Federal Building in downtown Evansville tonight to hold a special prayer vigil. This is the 4th year the community has come together to pray for our local and national leaders. Despite some of the issues America has faced in the past year, Tri-Stater's say their faith remains strong.
"Our country is such an awesome country," said vigil organizer Brenda Bergwitz. "I'm so proud of it. But right now, it's going down a path that I don't like. But it's going to get better. We got to stay positive that it's going to get better."
Despite the cold weather, over 20 people attended tonight's prayer.
