Owensboro Red Cross Looking for New Volunteers

Resolving to give back to your community in the new year? The Owensboro Office of the American Red Cross will hold a fast-track training for people who want to become volunteers. The Messenger-Inquirer is reporting the Red Cross is looking for people who can help and respond to local emergencies such as natural disasters and house fires. Local volunteers are also needed to work with the families of people in the Armed Forces to answer phones, do office work, and help with fundraising events. You're encouraged to call the Red Cross if you want to help out.
