Looks like 2012 was a good one for the Crime Stoppers program in Owensboro. The program is only possible because of donations from local businesses, goverment grants, and other contributions from people in the community. When people call in tips for crimes posted on the Crime Stoppers Facebook page, there's a reward if the tips lead to an arrest. Officers say last year they recieved more than 500 tips from the public, and approved just under $6,000 in reward money to be handed out.
