Multiple Fatalities in Posey County Fire

Three people are confirmed dead following an early morning house fire in Posey County.

Crews were called to 1129 Mulberry Street just before 12:30 Friday morning.  The Posey County Coroner confirms to Eyewitness News that an adult, a teen and a child died in the fire.

Two others reportedly escaped.  One of them jumped from the second story.  Those victims were taken to a local hospital, but so far there is no word on the extent of their injuries.

We have a crew on the scene and will continue to follow this story throughout the day.
