A sign of the times, and an end of an era. Schmitt Photo in Evansville is closing. Schmitt President Stephen Polley confirmed to Eyewitness News by phone the eastside business' targeted closing is set for late February, citing a drop in Schmitt's customer base. Schmitt had been an Evansville business staple for 97 years. Polley tells us the digital age and social media photo sharing contributed to the decline of business within the past five years.
