A standoff in southern Illinois ends peacefully. The incident began around 9:00 a.m. in Crossville in White County. Deputies say the man living on the west end of town was depressed, fired his gun inside the home several times, then made threats to hurt himself. Deputies went to the home and tried to make contact with the man for five hours before a SWAT team went in and found him asleep.
