Pedestrian Overpass Plan Hits Hurdle

Evansville city officials hit a roadblock in plans to build a pedestrian overpass near the Lloyd Expressway and Vann Avenue.
Crews have found remnants of a small unmarked cemetery near the construction site. A city spokesperson says officials are now working with archeologists and other experts to figure out what steps will be taken next.
Similar grave sites were found in the area when the state built the expressway. Most of those bodies were exhumed and moved to other locations.
